Corporate Wellness

Corporate group classes are a mix of mat and standing exercises providing challenge, fun and variety. Small props (weighted balls, bands, blocks) are used to add strength and stability. Through a series of core, back, leg and arm exercises, participants will feel stronger with each class and gain a new awareness of their posture, strength, the importance of breathing and more. Relaxation, concentration, focus and fun result!

  • Pilates can help improve concentration and focus, reduce neck and back pain, improve posture and body awareness and boost energy!

Corporate group classes (from 15-90+ minutes) can be arranged to suit your office.

Small groups (up to 6) and larger groups (7+) can be accommodated depending on your available space.

The beauty of classes at the office:

    • No equipment is required—just an open space!

    • Can accommodate all ages and fitness levels

    • Perfect for lunch hour or after work

    • Availability for corporate events too

  • "I initially started taking reformer classes with Robin to 'help her out' in her teacher training. Ironically, it was Robin who helped me! Through several months of sessions, I felt stronger and more confident, and always challenged. Robin is an exceptional teacher and guide. I have had personal trainers in the past. Robin is better.”

  • “Robin is the best pilates teacher I have ever had.  She is Creative Attentive Resourceful Energetic (CARE). Her classes are fun, varied and energizing!”

  • “Robin is the best teacher I have ever had - creative, fun, encouraging, and I always get an amazing workout.”

  • “Robin’s approach is so personal and warm. Not only is she very knowledgeable, she is always patient, good-humoured and encouraging. And she is completely adaptable. When I had some health setbacks, she immediately adapted the sessions to suit my limitations. Best of all, after every single session, I always feel fantastic!"

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Originally developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, the Pilates exercise method is a total-body conditioning workout that focuses on balance, concentration, alignment and control, while improving deep core strength, muscle control, flexibility, coordination and body tone.

“Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong posture, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.”
    - Joseph Pilates

  • If you practice with Flex Pilates regularly, you will enjoy improved posture, better balance, a stronger core, increased overall physical awareness, flexibility, coordination, concentration and decreased stress.

  • Classes are held at 2 studios:
Body Harmonics Midtown (near Yonge/Davisville) and
    Blue Canoe Uptown (near Yonge/Lawrence).

Class times will vary but generally are held, with extra classes being added in over holidays, etc. (schedules will be emailed- get on Robin’s list by emailing her at robin@flexpilates.ca):
    --Monday @ 7:15 pm @ BH Midtown
    --Saturday @ 1:15 pm @ BH Midtown
    --Saturday @ 9 am @ Blue Canoe

    Body Harmonics Midtown
1835 Yonge St., #304, 3rd floor, in between Balliol and Merton, just south of Davisville

    Blue Canoe Uptown
3215A Yonge St., 2nd floor, just 2 blocks north of Lawrence

Both are beautiful studios with light-filled reformer rooms, change rooms, lockers, water, washrooms, etc. If you forget anything, you can purchase workout gear at the studio. For your first class, please come 15 minutes early to meet Robin, fill in a client intake form and familiarize yourself with the studio. Robin will also run through the basics of the reformer and ensure you’re all set to get started.

  • Sign up online by sending me an email to robin@flexpilates.ca or contact me by text 647-300-3594 so I know when to expect you for classes (as much notice as you can is appreciated as there are only a set number of reformers, so please book in early). I will send regular reminder emails with dates and every now and then additional notes about schedule changes, extra and/or free classes, etc. but you won’t be inundated. Promise.

  • Dress to move (workout gear that you can move in is best). Optimal footwear—non-slip socks or bare feet. Best socks are those with non-slip/‘grip’ on the bottom (the studio has some for sale, you can find lots of options on Amazon or if you ever go/went to Skyzone, those socks are perfect).

  • There is often free 1-hour street parking on and around the side streets near both studios. There is also street parking with the Green P app or machine payments and a few parking lots nearby too.

  • At the group classes at Body Harmonics’ beautiful studio in midtown Toronto, there are 12 reformers. The classes at Blue Canoe are semi-private with 4 reformers. Mat classes or other Flex Pilates classes at other studios may have more or fewer attendees but never more than 15. Flex Pilates focuses on ensuring personal connections with each client whether there are 2 or 15 class attendees.

  • Yes! Pilates is a wonderful form of exercise for everyone. Pilates is great for those who are dedicated exercisers, for those just getting into exercise, and everyone. As we age, Pilates is a great activity as it works the small muscles that support the larger ones, it's easy on the joints and improves balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and more.

  • Flex Pilates is all about flexibility, so don’t stress if you have to change/cancel, but please do give me as much notice as possible—thanks! Best is a quick text: 647-300-3594

    • If you need to change or cancel your attendance at a group class, you are kindly requested to do so as early as you can. Most studios require 6 - 12 - 24 hours' cancellation notice, but I’m flexible on this.

    • For private and semi-private sessions, late cancellations (less than 6 hours) and no-shows will be charged the full rate.

    • For corporate & pre-registered classes, there are no make-ups or drop-ins. These classes are offered at discounted rates and so no make-ups can be offered.
